Bug ID

Type

Summary

Details

1

Bug

Work and turn plate burns do not get the correct mirroring and rotation.

When a work and turn plate is created the flopped packages get shifted Inappropriately and the burn rotation is also incorrect.

2

Bug

Cannot output PDF on quad core CPU.

Could not output on 4 core processors, but worked on 2 core cpus.

5

Bug

Burn cursor snap to sheet edge isn't working consistently.

On the older version if you took the cursor keys and pressed in any direction (jogged) the burn cursor would stop at the sheet edge or if a margin was set it would stop with the trim on the margin, or bleed to the edge of the sheet whichever it hit first.

8

Bug

Various Step and repeat.

·      When auto stepping "ctrl+shift" then clicking and drag the first image is not holding the initial file. All of the copies have the correct information but the first one is dropping.

·      Sometimes the image (artwork) assigned to the burn gets shifted in the first burn when doing a select & drag step-and-repeat.

·      An "invalid argument" error when importing packages into layouts without any burns, or importing additional packages in some cases.

12

Bug

Rotating the burn cursor adds 1,2, or 3 inches to the head bleed.

Rotating the burn cursor adds 1-3 inches (or the current measurement unit) to the burn cursor image's head bleed. This would cause and undesired shift in step and repeats unless the user edited out the bleed on a new burn after such an operation.

10

Enhance

Spot color is getting lost with Rampage 11 PDF workflow imposed layouts.

After upgrade to Rampage 11 PMS colors would be blank when the layout is viewed in Rampage. This fix adds a new option to the Generate Output/PDF panel so the user can specify either CMYK or Lab as the color space for Impose-X spot color name plate ID text tags. Outputting as CMYK should match with what Rampage is doing and solve the problem.

6.0 Existing Customer Pre-Release

The new version of Impose-X contains core changes to all data structures. Layouts modified by Impose-X are not backward compatible with earlier versions of the program.

Please read the following instructions before upgrading:

Working with version 6 in the same install folder as a previous Impose-X installation, will update all data files for folds, templates, and marks. Please be cautious and back up your existing installation, or make thorough use of the demonstration version in a different install folder USING A DIFFERENT LIB FOLDER before completing your transition to the new program.

As most experienced users know, the “lib” folder is of critical importance and should always be backed up in any case. If you are trialing the new version as a demonstration, simply run the installer and then COPY your current Impose-X lib folder into the new Impose-X installation folder.
